Bisbee Passes Bag Ban/Fee Ordinance!!

Sarah Meggison and Camille Shannon of the Bags for the People Bisbee, AZ, chapter have helped pass a city wide ordinance to ban plastic bags!  The ordinance starts as a voluntary effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle and then transitions into a multi-phase plastic and paper bag fee system that helps fund the environmental initiative.  You can view a video and more information here.

It is very exciting to see such a wonderful town do what’s right for the environment and it’s community!
